National Principles and Guidelines for Rangeland Management

Provides a framework for rangeland communities, in partnerships with governments and in consultation with the broader community, to undertake regional planning to address the diverse social, cultural, environmental and economic issues facing their communities. The report identifies a 25-year vision for Australia’s rangelands. To achieve this vision a number of goals are outlined including the conservation and management of the natural environment; achieving sustainable economic activity; and gaining the recognition and support for social, aesthetic, cultural and heritage values, diversity and development
