The objective of the exercise was to test and improve the Wild Animal Management Manual (WAMM) of AUSVETPLAN. This was done by assessing feral pig management options during a simulated Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak in Far North Queensland. The project aimed to improve Australia’s preparedness for responding to an animal health emergency by enhancing the long-term capability for wild animal management by several agencies.
