Foxes threaten populations of little penguins on Phillip Island, Victoria. Current fox control procedures may be holding the fox population below its carrying capacity, but the effort is difficult to sustain in the long-term. Given the degree of isolation of the population, eradication may be achievable but will require an increased effort in the short-term.
