National and state-based wild dog action plans

The National Wild Dog Action Plan (first developed in 2014) guides the implementation of a nationally-agreed framework for strategic and risk based approaches to wild dog management; emphasising humane, safe and effective management techniques and appropriate scales for mitigating the impacts of wild dogs.

You can learn more about this National Plan via their website at https://wilddogplan.org.au

Many jurisdictions have their own legislative requirements for wild dog control and management strategies. Some jurisdictions also have specific state based management plans, which you can find via – https://wilddogplan.org.au/about-the-nwdap/state-plans/

We recommend also visiting our Connect section to ensure you are kept informed about the current wild dog control legislation in your region.
